Our Audit Team visit Scotland
Our Audit Team recently completed two targeted retail audits in Glasgow.
First, at Buchanan Galleries, we collaborated with Landsec, Atelier Ten, and Sam Patterson to review a prior Pre-Demolition Audit (PDA). Our team captured detailed data on the building’s fixtures, fittings, and equipment (FF&E), as well as its structure, façade, and cladding, identifying significant opportunities for reuse.
The following day, we worked with British Land at Glasgow Fort to meticulously catalogue finishes, lighting, and MEP assets in a retail unit. The goal was to identify items for potential retention or reuse by incoming tenants, supporting the landlord with material brokerage.
Capturing assets before refurbishment not only reduces costs but also significantly lowers the carbon impact of retail refit cycles. Our unique tagging system ensures both tenant and landlord materials are tracked for efficient management. A key advantage of our process is that these audits can be conducted even while shops remain operational, thanks to close cooperation with store managers.
After a productive two days, our team enjoyed some well-deserved downtime at Loch Lomond, sporting our Material Index gear.
