Rob Smith joined a distinguished panel to discuss the future of circular materials in the built environment. Hosted by British Land's Head of Sustainability, Matt Webster, the session was titled "FULL CIRCLE, FULL POTENTIAL: THE IMPORTANCE OF CIRCULATING MATERIALS WITHIN THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT TO MAXIMISE THEIR POTENTIAL."

Rob was joined by Adam Ozinsky of 3XN/GXN and Areti Makantasi of JLL. The discussion highlighted British Land’s focused approach to materials reuse, repair, remanufacturing, and repurposing. Rob contributed to the conversation by sharing Material Index’s work on building audits, material passports, and material reuse, with a special focus on successful case studies from British Land projects.

This event was a testament to the growing importance of material circularity in the industry and showcased the collaborative efforts driving real change.
